And I care, so I’m gonna share. :)
Here’s a few items I though you might enjoy:
My latest article for CarbSmart Magazine is now up. I take a realistic look at exercise and ways to make it fun. I hope it’s helpful to you. You can find it here, titled Can Exercise Be Fun?
By now, I’m sure most of you have heard about the massive tornado that hit the Joplin, MO area last night. Poor Alabama is still trying to recover from the devastation in March, our area, plus many others are still battling flood waters, and now this. It’s quite sad. I have family and friends in that area and was relived to hear they are all fine, but so many were not. Last I heard the death toll was around 89. So very tragic. Mashable has posted some ways we can help in this crisis, should we be so inclined. Here’s the link to their article. May God be with all those who’ve suffered so much in the last few months.
Dreamfields pasta has been in the middle of a big controversy lately. While I like the taste of Dreamfields, and have used it myself on occasion, I’ve never been 100% sure it was truly low-carb. I never noticed any problems after eating it, but everyone can react differently to these things. My biggest objection to it at all is that it contains wheat, which I no longer eat in any form. Dr. Andreas Eenfeldt has a new blog (in English!) called Diet Doctor, where he shares blood glucose results after eating Dreamfields. Jimmy Moore also did a similar test, with surprising results. Jimmy interviewed the President of Dreamfields to get this response to these incriminating experiments, which I’ve linked to below.

Tom Naughton has done it once again with a fantastic talk he gave on this years low-carb cruise titled Science For Smart People. You can currently see it on his blog, or better yet, order it through his site store and share it with friends! It’s not only educational, but pee-your-pants funny. And while you are in the Fat Head online store, you should grab one of the awesome new t-shirts Tom has designed! His new Wheat Is Murder shirts are hilarious and I can’t wait to get mine, as well as order others he has ideas for in the future.
