• They Just Don’t Get It

I recently won an iPad in a photographers giveaway. I have fallen in love with this thing and use it often. It’s been especially useful with my photography stuff. So today I’m messing around with it and decided to do a search on Netflix for Fat Head. Netflix tends to get rid of some shows quickly so I wanted to see if it was still available. Thankfully it is, so if you have Netflix and haven’t seen it, do yourself a favor and watch it asap.

What drives me crazy though is that whoever wrote the description for Fat Head on Netflix obviously didn’t watch it very closely (or at all). Look at this description, especially the part I underlined in red.

I know Tom or Chareva didn’t write this description. Looking at Tom’s menu, fries were actaully a rarity. He was proving you could lose weight eating fat and meat. He also demonstrated that sugars, grains and starches were the real culprit behind ithe diabesity epidemic. So glad Netflix was concerned about getting the facts straight. *sigh*

Looks like it’s time to duct tape my head again….

HA! I watched FatHead on Netflix one night and was reinspired. What I got out of it was that you can eat ANYTHING so long as you watch the calories. 2000 calories of cheeseburgers is just fine. But yeah, fries were the first thing he cut when he was doing his calorie count.

I still need to watch it but I have a feeling that is not what I am going to get out of it.  Tom Naughton is NOT a low-calorie blogger.

Also it doesn’t match my experience.  2900 calories of meat and fat and modest amount of non-starchy veggie = weight loss.  1800 calories of mostly bread and starch and sugar = weight gain.  That’s not calories in operation there.

You’re right, it’s low carb not low calorie.  You can watch it free at Hulu:
