• There’s no place like home….

And sadly I found I don’t like home nearly as much as being waited on for everything little thing I needed on the cruise ship. I tried to convince a couple of the ship employees to come home with us and take care of all the laundry I now have to do, as well as fix meals and generally clean up, but I don’t think they were interested. I say think because I never got a real answer… they were too busy laughing at my suggestion. I decided to just take that as a no. I walked away because quite honestly, all that rolling on the floor and kicking their feet as they laughed was a bit embarrassing.

I did however get to bring back the swaying motion that you experience on a cruise ship. When I sit still for any length of time and then stand up I feel off balance. Not a bad feeling really, just odd. I will go away soon and then I’ll have to face reality – I’m no longer on vacation.

I do have to say, if you have any interest at all in joining us next year, I highly recommend it. We had a blast! And not only was it fun, it was also extremely educational. I learned a lot during the talks and came back home with a renewed energy and enthusiasm for low-carb living. This is good in two ways. One, I’m ready to make some necessary changes that I had been slacking on before. (Things like exercise, diet soda, etc.) Two, I ate well on the cruise… a little too well. My home scale says I put on about 4 lbs. I ate almost completely low-carb on the cruise, but I ate a lot more than I normally do. I’ve learned I require very low-carbs to lose and maintaining will be pretty low for me was well.

I’m spending today catching up on email, restocking the fridge and getting all that laundry caught up. I’ll post photos soon, as well as some details about the trip.

Welcome Home, Amy! You should have your “land legs” back in a day or so…don’t feel bad…I road the train from Minneapolis to PA and had “train legs” fora day or so afterward! LOL! Was sitting still at ground level and felt the movement (and I had thought it was the then Sears Tower swaying in the breeze on the layover!)

Thanks HunBun! I am glad to be home… but I sure miss that beautiful sunshine and warm temperatures.
