• My interview on the Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show

Posted on June 25, 2010 by in blog, Low-Carb, Personal & Life, Support & Inspiration

Jimmy Moore contacted me a few months back about being on his podcast show. I agreed, but honestly worried that I had nothing interesting to offer his listeners. Jimmy convinced me that just telling my story and what my blog is about would be great. So that’s what I did. I hope you find this interview interesting and entertaining… and more importantly I hope you are inspired in some way to continue on the fight for good health. And if you are just starting your low-carb journey, I want to remind you to believe in yourself and that you are worth the effort!

So here is my interview. Would love to hear your feedback.

You did a great job, Amy. Came across as very down-to-earth, likable, and knowledgable.

Thank you so much Steve. I’ll admit to being pretty nervous. I haven’t written a book or created any spectacular recipes… I’m just a gal that deals with the same stuff everyone else does and decided to blog about it. :) But I enjoy it and I hope others do too.

Hi Amy – nice interview! You did not sound nervous at all.

I was meant to have an interview too, but we’ve been so sick with the flu’ that has seen 55,000 people hospitalized here. I am still coughing like crazy and have a fever every day. First my son got sick, then my husband and now me. One son escaped it and I pray it stays that way. It’s really a very bad strain of flu’. It attacks the lungs something fierce. My husband had to go on antibiotics as he got a secondary infection and was worried about pneumonia. He tends to self-medicate as he comes from a doctor’s family – 2 doctors in the family.

Thanks Jennifer! I hope you are all on the mend soon! It’s scary when an illness spreads like that. Keep me posted on how you are all doing!

    Hi Amy,
I enjoyed the interview with Jimmy Moore. I can relate to the weight gain with the birth of children. I have three of my own and that's when my body seemed to change the most. The low carb diet idea seems alien at first, but once it's embraced it can become second nature. I'll repeat what others have said…..You sounded so naturally and relaxed, really! Keep up the good work!
